Kendall Grove Eyeing February Return
Sources at have MMA Frenzy reported :

Ultimate Fighter 3 winner Kendall Grove is likely to return to the octagon in February, according to Fightline.com, which confirmed the return date directly with the UFC middleweight.

“I’ll start training again here soon and will be ready to go early 2009,” said Grove.

Grove and his girlfriend had a daughter, Khloe, on July 31st and he also recently opened a new MMA gym, which have been consuming most of his time, though the 185-pound fighter is confident he’ll soon resume regular training for an early-2009 return to the octagon, potentially at UFC 95 which is slated for February.

Grove rebounded from back-to-back first-round knockout losses to Patrick Cote and Jorge Rivera with a split decision win over the late Evan Tanner at The Ultimate Fighter 7 Finale in June.

Wonder who he'll fight? I would say re-match with Ed Herman, but Herman's not doing too good these days. In all honesty, both of them have been up and down since TUF, and on the verge of loses their contract with the UFC....maybe they need to fight it out? haha...slim chance, im sure......Even though Grove looked great against Tanner, and won, I think that he still is at a point to where he MUST win this next fight in order to stay in the UFC. I think he loses to Quarry, and Demian Maia, to name a few that are simply the obvious (i.e. Silva, Franklin, Marquardt, Henderson, Bisping, McDonald, Okami, etc....)I suppose Swick and him would be a good match (????). Either way, I like da spyder...ready to see him come back...

Next to a rematch with Ed Herman, I think ur correct. Swick makes the most sense. I like them both, but I think Swick runs through him QUICK!!!!!!! Only prob is (and I could be wrong), but I thought Swick had decided to permanently move down to 170??? If so, we can cross that one out, unless Swick moves back up real quick just to whoop his ass.

Dayley: sure there's plenty more we'd like to see him fight, but the real question is what are the actual possibilities based on the UFC's system of matchups. There's a lot more that goes into a pairing than just pickin a name out of a hat. I suppose this topic is simply speculation until we find out. So far, MADNESS fans like Herman, Kampmann or Swick. Personally, my pick would be a rematch with Herman. There's been word that Kampmann is moving down to 170lbs and staying, and Swick is already a WW. So who's left that make sense for Da Spyder, other than an unlikely Herman vs Grove II? I posted this on another thread, but a couple of articles I read mentioned names such as Demian Maia and The Ultimate Fighter's most recent MW champ (you know who I'm talking about....the goofy, witty, underdog of underdogs, possibly even a people's champ -- or at least a fan favorite.......Amir Sadollluh (SP)). Quickly, I don't think Grove stands a prayer against Maia ---- Demian's skills, danger, and expertise are becoming more and more apparant with each fight. Grove will more than likely get caught in Demian's ruthless array of body locks. As for Amir ---- Everytime this guy fought on TUF, i said, there's no way he's got this one, then he'd submit the opponent!!! Not only that, he'd take on hell of a monster beating, and show little frustration or discomfort while being on the receiving end of some damage. He almost seemed to be planning his sub attempt while the opponent assumed he was annhialating Amir. I don't know if Amir plays possom, or if he has a high tolerance for pain, or both, but whatever it is, it works well. THAT SAID, he's in a tought UFC MW class, that's pretty stacked with talent. I could name ten off the top of my head that would beat Amir 8 times out of 10, and I think that one of them is Kendall Grove. Amir, though, exciting to see weather so many storms and come out victorious, I have to be honest and say that he is quite a ways from being a giant threat to the MW class. After a couple of fights, I think that he will either will be, or he'll drop to WW. Anyways, that's my thoughts on this subject.

Arthur: Who the hell is DAGGER????? I hope it aint that one black dude that was friends with Kendall on TUF that was missing a tooth, is it? Cuz he was far from special. I vaguely remember him tryin to charge up Bisping, and Bisping blew him off ---- That cat would've gotten throttled DIRTY via BRITISH ASS BEATING.

probrably why kendall's been losing as of late training with no tooth.i think you could be right bout herman being next.first fight is to who was getting in ufc the second could be who stay's there.id prefer swick actually because that would be a nice clash of styles.
